SKS Eye Hospital has been addressing the dire lack of specialized eye care in Gaibandha, one of Bangladesh’s economically and geographically backward districts. With limited healthcare facilities and significant economic challenges, many people in this region lack access to essential eye care services, including treatments for common conditions like cataracts, glaucoma, and other vision impairments. We normally observe that a huge number of poor & ultra-poor community people are suffering from various eye-related diseases. Considering the gravity of the situation and to prevent the terrific blindness in the society, SKS Foundation has established the SKS Eye Hospital at Masterpara, Gaibandha in October 2017. SKS Eye Hospital is bridging the gaps as a crucial healthcare provider delivering quality eye care, especially for disadvantaged communities.

SKS Eye Hospital’s commitment to accessibility and affordability extends beyond its main facility. The Hospital operates a network through its Vision Centers located in remote areas. The mission of SKS Eye Hospital is to provide quality eye care services at affordable or even free of cost in case of the poor and ultra-poor people. Concerning this, SKS Eye Hospital is well-equipped with the latest modern equipment, skilled eye specialists and other technical hands.
